Most of them were made by Miniature Figurenes (minnifigs). I have also used Essex ,Old Glory, Britania, Hinchcliff, and Ral Partha. Most of them are made in UK. Old Glory is the only known American manufacturer for Vikings, with the rest made in the UK or out of business.

Cool, thanks! I'll keep these in mind if I ever get into historical minis. I remember the Perry samurais were particularly good sculpts.

Great! I too have several Warhammer armies. Back in the old days of the 2nd and 3rd edition they also had Viking and Samuri armies as well. I was very dissapointed when they ncut them out of the warhammer world. So are you into Warhammer Fantasy of 40K? They now have a set of Warhammer Ancient rules too.

IIRC there's still a way to play Norse warbands... and Nippon army is always a rumour running around, y'know like Dark Eldar were until they got updated :XD:
I like collecting Space Marines every now and then but there's so little time and room for painting them up lately for me :(

Nice to hear from you again. I am now working on a barbarian hill fort. I intend to post a picture of it when it is done.
